There’s ALWAYS something to do in Chicago. This week the whole city is buzzing with anticipation of one of our favorite local fests, Lollapalooza. You can feel the energy radiating around every corner you turn – from the Gold Coast to Wicker Park and back. There are plenty of adventures to take place in this city… here are 10+ Chicago events for you to check out!
There’s no better time to adventure in Chicago when the sun is beaming. You can simply look at the glistening skyline and know that whatever path you take, you’re going to like the ride.
Whether you’re running along the beautiful Lake Michigan, sippng rosé all day at one of our favorite establishments like Kensington Rooftop, slipping into the pool at Eastbank Club, or in full festy mode – there is something for everyone.
What: Wicker Park Fest
In the mood for music, food and festival fun? Check out this annual street fest in one of the hippest neighborhoods in the Windy City.

What: Taste of River North
15 years in the running, this is another great event for music and food lovers alike. River North is home to some fabulous restaurants with tasting from Taco Joint, Ruth’s Chris, Da Lobsta, Kinzie Chop House and Farm House and many more. Lots of great music performances and East Bank Club will be having fitness class on Saturday and Sunday 10:30-11:15 am.

What: Go Red Get Fit Event by Macy’s
Macy’s and The American Heart Association are teaming up for their first ever get fit event. The event is part of the #GoRedGetFit national fitness campaign led by Macy’s and the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement. The challenge is designed to inspire and help women make lifestyle changes to benefit their heart health. Go Red Get Fit begins with heart-pumping workouts from fitness experts and social media phenoms Lita Lewis, Ary Nunez and Ashanti Johnson. Guests will also have the chance to check out the season’s hottest workout gear and visit interactive stations for helpful tips to improve their heart health. During the Go Red Get Fit event, Illinois Heart Rescue will be on hand to teach hands-only CPR, and chef Brian Alston will lead a cooking demonstration featuring a heart-healthy recipe.

What: Time Out Chicago’s Battle of the Burger, Presented by Guinness
Time Out Chicago is partnering up with Guinness to figure the Windy City’s juiciest, heartiest and most innovative burgers. This 21 and over event features games, giveaways, a live DJ and burgers from participating restaurants including Acadia, Bottlefork, Butcher & the Burger, Farm Bar, Untitled Supper Club and many more. We all know Lolla – it’s going to be a great show! Set between Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline, Lollapalooza is the city’s largest music festival, boasting numbers of attendance well in the six digits on a regular day. This year Radiohead, Lana Del Rey, LCD Sounsystem and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline. To celebrate the 25th anniversary, this year there will be four days of music (instead of three). Be sure to check out our favorite BFF vendor, Festy Besty while you’re there!
