Tinselin’ Toyota

December 18, 2018

’Tis the season to sparkle, shine and travel to festive activities, holiday parties, and family gatherings all around town. The Dolls spent the season cruising around in the Toyota 4Runner, and Caitlin and Danielle were surprised at just how well this spacious SUV fit their lifestyle.

There are so may instances in which we look at one another with a glint in our eye and a genius idea..

Let’s go places.”

And that’s exactly what we did with our new wheels.

To get in the holiday spirit, the Dollhouse needed a glamorous Christmas Tree. We prefer the real ones for a naturally elegant holiday season. The fresh pine smell really spruces up your spirit for the season!

We decided to go on the hunt for a pine that would be perfect for the Dollhouse and scouted a few Christmas Tree lots in the city. It wasn’t long before we decided to take to the open road and head to a family-owned business to find our tree. Our hearts twirled as we neared the town of Danielle’s grandmother and something told us we were in the right place. We finally found the perfect tree. We had it strapped to the roof of the car and dashed back to the city!

Now that we’ve acquired the perfect tree, it’s officially time to decorate and throw a party. Trimming the tree is one of our favorite traditions… and this year did no disappoint with plenty of rose gold and sparkles. We decided to invite our best Dolls over to get in the holiday spirit with a cookie swap!

Back to the store(s) to get supplies we went! One store for decorations… make that two, another store for appetizers, one more for drinks, and one last stop for the perfect outfits. All the sudden we have another full car! With preparations underway, we giggled with excitement of our impending afternoon of fun.

The best part about the Toyota 4Runner is that it can pick up your favorite crew! The seating is massive, and everyone fits comfortably. After our best Dolls came over for the cookie swap, we were able to relax, laugh and enjoy each other’s company amongst all the festive décor. It takes a lot of running around to get in the holiday spirit – but our 4Runner made it so much more enjoyable.

Once everyone arrived, we had plenty of treats – including beverages from our favorite.. Somrus! The hot chocolate bar was a huge hit… Simply combine 4 oz hot cocoa with Somrus Chai Flavor… it’s soooo good.

The greatest gift of all that our Toyota 4Runner provided us with is the magic of Christmas. Living in Chicago is very exciting. Especially around the Holiday time. Michigan Avenue lights up, bars decorate as if they are right out of the North Pole and the Holiday Soirees are endless. Thanks to our safe and strong Toyota we were able to pick up our Christmas tree and drive it home to The Dollhouse safe and sound.

How do you get into the holiday spirit? Tell us in the comments.

I love the real Christmas trees! We had to get an artificial one because of the baby this year but next year it will be the beautiful pine smell once again!

My family has always been a Toyota family–very reliable and always fits the needs of my family as far as the type of car.
