What’s in a person’s bag can reveal their secrets, their personality, their beauty routines and their current obsessions. Today the Dolls are sharing what’s in our bag to get us through morning commutes, power through meetings and ready for an evening event. So, here it is…. What’s in my bag.
Both Dolls have an affinity for the Italian designer and collections started early with Mothers and Grandmothers who passed down treasured pieces. Caitlin has keepsakes to remember her grandmother and even a large doctor’s bag from her grandfather – she still keeps the luggage tag with his penmanship on the bag. Danielle was gifted a purse and accessories that her mother purchased in Aspen, before she moved to the city herself.
Spring is in the air and that means it’s time to bust out one of Caitlin’s favorite bags from a modest but growing Gucci collection. While studying abroad in Italy, strolling down Via Condotti became a regular occurrence.
At the bottom of the Spanish Steps on the prestigious Via Condotti, lies the most magical Italian store… Gucci. This is the very original boutique in Rome which first opened on 1938. It’s absolutely stunning and features a blend of contemporary design and original aspects of the store lovingly restored.
I purchased this bag on one of those fateful walks down Via Condotti – it’s a one of a kind bag that features a drawing of Piazza di Spagna in all it’s beauty. After staring at it in the window for sometime, I knew it was a necessary keepsake to remember the Eternal City.
Essential Essentials
There are so many lovely DoTerra’s oil blends, but I especially love to keep two on me while I’m out and about. The citrus is so energizing and puts a joyful pep to your daily routine. The lavender is calming and grounding , enabling me to get back on my feet if I am having a stressful or exhausting day. Just put 2-3 drops between your palms, rub together, and inhale deeply several times. You can also put a couple drops on the inside of your wrists.
Call Me Maybe
You never know who you’ll meet! Always be prepared with a stack of business cards. You’re next big break could be a call or email away.
Tarte Touch Ups
The Tarte High Performance Naturals collection are the makeup essentials to make sure your beauty is in the bag (in more ways than one). These items will keep you primped and polished before your next big meeting – or exclusive event. It’s everything you need for contoured cheeks, lips and eyes – it’s multitasking makeup that keeps you gorgeous on the go!

Crystal Clarity
The Dolls like keep their favorite crystals close by at all times. We usually have an assortment of these in our purses for balance and positive vibrations. I always carry my heart-shaped rose quartz and a few others that fit my mood. Selenite is wonderful to keep on you when your day has lots of ups and downs! Selenite helps clear you aura – so you can quickly wand yourself to rid any negative energy.
Always be Inspired
Our latest literary obsession is a never-before-told love story surrounding the rise and fall of the late Aldo Gucci (the man responsible for making the legendary fashion label the powerhouse it is today). Fashion, drama, history… all told by Aldo’s love child, Patricia Gucci. In the Name of Gucci hit stores today, but the Dolls were fortunate enough to get a sneak read!
In the Name of Gucci is the first book written by a direct descendent of Guccio Gucci – Patricia’s grandfather and the company’s founder. It was Guccio’s son, Aldo, who transformed the business from a small Florentine luggage company to the worldwide luxury powerhouse we know it as today.
Patricia was indeed a love child – her mother and Aldo’s love was sent to London to deliver the baby and then discretely whisked back to Rome to be hidden from Italian authorities, the media, and even the Gucci family. Fifty years of love letters revealed a passionate and sensitive man that differed starkly from Aldo’s public reputation.
The memoir shares the full story of Aldo and Patricia’s mother – whom he always returned to throughout decades crisscrossing the globe to build his empire; and whose hand he held when he died. There’s also a beautiful evolution of Aldo and Patricia’s relationship told here as well – from her years as a roving ambassador and the first-ever woman in the family to be elected to the Gucci board of directors, to being named his sole universal heir.
“I would like everyone to remember my father for what he did for the company. He was a man with heart and there was a human element to Gucci that’s been missing from past depictions of the family. In all the turmoil that happened, the man was lost in the story. I’m so proud to be his daughter.” – Patricia Gucci
