Spring cleaning is on Dolls’ minds everywhere. To Caitlin and Danielle, that translates to self-care and skincare. A facial treatment is truly wonderful – a ritual that makes beauty rise to the surface. With so many unique offerings and new trends, Caitlin and Danielle visited Reishi to investigate some of Chicago’s best treatments.
Dolls everywhere wonder how often should I get a facial? The next question usually is… What kind of facial should I get? And the most important follow-up… Where should I go?
In our eyes, every Doll is beautiful, bold and sexy, and if you add some self care you will feel all those ways too. You should indulge in a facial when you feel the time is right. Maybe your face feels dry, your pores appear clogged or you’re just looking for some extra glow. Especially while defrosting from the winter months. It’s time to create a new skincare routine when you have long term goals at stake like to tighten, brighten and change your skin.
We enjoy monthly maintenance and preservation to our skin through different services. Sometimes it’s a syringe of dysport and other times it’s a bespoke skincare line and then there are the holistic facials like the Bedrock Facial.
Reishi is nestled in the back room of Trim, a salon in Bucktown, and is one of the most peaceful spots the Dolls have stumbled upon. Cait and Dani both indulged in a Root Facial. The foundation of this service is natural, herbal and holistic. Just what Cait and Dani needed to spring clean their minds, souls and skin!
Root Facials:
Caitlin: Facial Massage, Extractions and Oxygen Treatment
Dani: Cupping, Microcurrent and Lymphatic drainage
Evie is the esthetician at Reishi and she is so incredible. Her touch is healing and her knowledge shines through in every facial to help you create a long lasting sparkle. Evie, addresses your skin care needs pouring much time and love into each of her clients.

I have always wanted to try cupping but the marks it usually leaves does freak me out plus I think it’s going to be painful. Guess I can’t know until I give it a try.

Skincare is such an important part of your self-care, after all, it is such a big organ. Definitely something we should all be looking after.

Skin care is important to maintain the glowing skin. It’s not bad to pamper your self going to spa once a while. I will definitely try cupping treatment. Thanks for sharing

She encourages her patients to take the self-care practice a step further and listen to relaxing music or a guided mediation app during the process.
