A-Doll-Able Easter Entertaining Tips

March 18, 2016

Can you believe how quickly Easter Sunday is approaching? This week the Dolls roadtripped to Peoria to appear on the local CBS station and give some hoppily-ever-after Easter entertaining tips. You may have guessed… The Dolls love to dress up for any occasion, from our outfits to our home. We chose home entertaining items from JCPenney in advance, and went in-store to pick out some Easter ensembles. This was our first live broadcast together, and these Dolls couldn’t have made a better duo!

Easter Entertaining CBS Segment

Danielle is wearing some awesome flare pants with slits and Caitlin is wearing a great crochet maxi dress. Here is some more fun Easter fashion we found in store:

Drumroll please, here’s the segment! There’s details below on all of our favorite items too.

We’re curated some tips for hosting family and friends in style this Easter without breaking the bank. JCPenny is a great place to find pretty much everything you need – they have some great deals right now too! You can pick up all of these items for fewer doll-hairs than you expected.

The first thing we want to show you are these great towels that can be used for any type of food prep or to add a pop of color to your kitchen or even your bathroom. At $13, it’s a great price to add to your at-home Easter vibe.

Next, these bowls from Cooks are on sale right now. You can use them for everything from food prep to serving to storage. These 12 bowls are super colorful, and can be nested within each other for easy storage.

Ever wonder how to get deviled eggs from point A to point B? You can easily transport them in Snapware’s Snap n’ Snack Eggtainer. These are BPA free and they make storage easy too. It’s on sale right now for $13.99.

A beautiful stove-to-table piece for the meal is this Cooks 5-qt. Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven. This one is 5.5 qt in a festive green and on sale right now for $70 (regularly $180).

What kind of party would it be without the Easter Bunny? These adorable bunny pieces are so great for serving. This Large Bunny-shaped Serving Bowl is 65% off right now and great for chips or pretzels. It is so cute with his little bunny friends who can serve the dips. The little pastel bowls are $25 each.

Again with the deviled eggs! Can you tell we love them? Another great item to add to your table is the Porcelain Whiteware Egg Plate for $35. Don’t forget to keep the S+P nearby for added seasoning with this a-doll-able little bunny and pastel egg.

We recommend choosing a signature drink for your guests – prepping this ahead of the party will help save you time so you’ll be able to socialize. We love this classic version – and it’s 50% off right now! Add some sliced lemons or fruit to give this a fun look.

We adore a bold tablescape. First, we’ll start with this Zig Zag tablecloth for $35-$65. For your place setting, we’re all about layering. Start with a classic white plate (this 16 piece set is $120). Then, layer in the fun. For the charger we chose this Sunflower Serving platter – it makes brings a festive, happy vibe to the table. Next, this pastel salad plate  features an egg decal front and center – perfect for Easter! You can pick them up for $53 for a set of 4 or $13 each. To round of the look, we chose a bright-colored napkin for each setting. These are $38 for a set of four and comes in more bright colors like hot pink and lime.

BONUS TIME! See the behind-the scenes of our day:
