12 Must-Have Makeup Brushes

April 8, 2016

Spring is now in full swing (even if the Chicago weather won’t cooperate)! This season is all about rebirth, renewal and of course Spring cleaning. It’s the time to go through your belongings to revive the items you love, donate items that will help others, and toss the things that have seen their day. The Dolls encourage you to feel beautiful on the inside and out – believe it or not, Spring cleaning helps. Today, we’re talking about a little something you’ve been wanting to replace but just haven’t done it yet… Your makeup brushes.

You Are Beautiful - Chicago Lifestyle Blog

You are SO beautiful.. BUT did you know that your old makeup brushes could be clogging your pores, actually making your makeup look worse, causing harm to your health and {GASP} causing wrinkles? Seriously – according to Dr. Palmer via Good Housekeeping, “Dirty makeup brushes can expose the skin to oxidative stress from free radicals, which causes a breakdown of collagen and elastin and can result in premature aging”.

Once Upon a Dollhouse - Chicago Lifestyle Blog

Enough said, right? The Dolls have decided to toss their makeup brushes and start fresh at their fave splurge & save establishment, ULTA Beauty. As per usual, we found some a-doll-able options!

UTLTA Beauty IT Makeup Brushes

I LOVE IT brushes! You can get great deals on them on QVC, especially if you like the IT cosmetics line. Many times on QVC if you order the makeup a brush it thrown in at a minimal price. Makeup brushes are expensive and it can take a long time to build up your full collection.
