Caitlin and Dani have always known that Dolls can do it all. Hone a successful career, travel the world, further their education, start a family, buy a car! You would be surprised how many people might think that last option isn’t realistic… and how many Dolls feel intimidated to do so. HELLO – it’s 2020!! Enter one the Dolls’ favorite resources: A Girl’s Guide to Cars. The two best friends just test drove the 2021 VW Atlas and have named it ‘A Doll’s SUV’!
As we STILL find ourselves in unprecedented times – we’re looking for every little moment that brings us joy. These days, so many of these moments involve an SUV. Whether we are picking up dinner for an exquisite at-home dining experience, experiencing a concert while we lounge in the trunk (never thought we would say that) or driving across the country – the 2021 VW Atlas has everything a Doll needs and more.
First off, this car is absolutely gorgeous. It recently got a little makeover with a more prominent grill featuring the VW logo and more naturally integrated headlights – very sleek. The front and rear bumpers have also been reshaped and add 2.4 inches to the crossover’s overall length.
We affectionately call the 2021 VW Atlas “a big”… it’s bigger than you first think. Somehow, it still feels like a breeze to drive and even park around our beloved Windy City. The 7-seater is the perfect mid-size SUV. If you’re a mom who wouldn’t be caught in a minivan… we encourage you to check this baby out.
The interior is virtually untouched compared with the 2020 model, but there are revised controls and a new steering wheel with a bit more substance. Let’s chat about the digital cockpit – Apple Carplay allows you to seamlessly connect your device, all the controls are easy to find on the 8-inch screen – it’s all just so aesthetically pleasing. There’s even a wireless charging pad located beneath the center stack. The 2021 VW Atlas also brings you driver assistance, traffic jam assist, enhanced adaptive cruise control and a dynamic road sign display. We’ve never felt so safe in the hustle and bustle of a busy city.
Admittedly, our favorite part might be the Fender guitar speaker system. We put down the sunroof and truly appreciate all of our favorite songs. There’s something magical about cruising in this car with your bestie as you belt out classic Mariah Carey jams, are we right?!
Here’s another element we can get behind: we can swoon over the German designed vehicle while knowing that it’s manufactured here on American Soil. It’s the best of both worlds in one smart car purchase.

The late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg paved the way for women’s rights and gender equality, and her recent passing has reminded us to keep encouraging Dolls that they are every bit as worthy. The Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974, which “prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, or age in credit transactions.” It was this precise document that allows us (Dolls) to purchase our own cars.
Wherever your car purchase takes you, we hope you feel empowered and worthy. We’ve partnered with A Girl’s Guide to Cars so that we can bring you the information you may need to make a decision that’s right for you! As always, all doll-pinions are our own.
