Caitlin and Dani pride themselves on sharing fashion tips and beauty finds, along with content of substance and intellectual prowess for Dolls in all life stages. The two best friends are always saying “the door to the Dollhouse is always open!” and they mean that wholeheartedly. So, with all the chatter about the upcoming election, here they go again starting an open dialog.
Once Upon a Dollhouse was created to celebrate all Dolls and facilitate a bond with one-another. Over the past several months we have discussed politics more than ever before. Sharing our political hopes and fears has brought us even closer together.

When you vote, it’s not just for the next president and vice president, but your local leaders. This is something we are really concentrating on this year.
Voting for your local leaders is the best way you can directly impact yourself and your future. If you think your vote “doesn’t matter” because of a higher committee or the electoral college… think twice before you turn your back on the local elections. Your vote really truly counts for something – and helps facilitate local businesses to thrive (shout out to all our small businesses out there).
When we conversed with our gal pal Lulu during the latest Doll Talk Podcast – she brought up a HOT VOTING TIP! Request a mail-in ballot and do your research. There are so many boxes to check for local leaders. Doing your research while you have time and the good-ole Google machine helps you make the best decisions for policies that could affect you, your family, your friends and your community. Tune into the Doll Talk Podcast for the whole scoop.

Use Your Voice
Not only does living in this country afford us the freedom to vote, but this happens on multiple levels. As we become more wise over the years, we feel more and more compelled to use our voice to stand up for what’s right for our local communities.
Questions about voting? We are HERE FOR YOU. Send us a DM on Instagram @onceuponadollhouse and let’s get chatting! Because the door to the Dollhouse is always open.
