Can you share a bit about your journey as a stylist? What inspired you to pursue a career in fashion?
My journey as a stylist began with an undeniable passion for fashion that sparked when I was just 16 and took my first job at the mall. One of my earliest experiences was at The Buckle, where I discovered not only my love for retail but also the joy of connecting with customers. Balancing my studies in high school and college with my retail job deepened my appreciation for the industry and solidified my desire to pursue a career in fashion.
After graduating college, my parents encouraged me to consider a career in insurance. However, I quickly realized that a desk job wasn’t my calling; I thrive on human interaction and creativity. In every spare moment, I found myself scouring the internet for the latest designer pieces to add to my collection, which only fueled my passion for fashion further.
Soon after, I landed a position at Neiman Marcus—a dream come true, as I had admired the store since I first opened a credit card. It was the perfect opportunity for me. I began as a sales associate, transitioned to a digital stylist, and eventually earned a promotion to Personal Stylist. My time at Neiman Marcus was truly transformative; I flourished in that environment, and my clients did too. I can’t tell you how many times clients mentioned they had never shopped there until I started assisting them. Today, I’m proud to be styling clients wherever they are and savoring every moment of this fulfilling journey!
How would you describe your personal styling philosophy? Do you have any signature looks or favorite trends you love to incorporate?
My personal styling philosophy centers around the idea that fashion should be an authentic expression of the individual. I believe that every client has a unique story to tell, and my goal is to help them communicate that through their wardrobe.
I enjoy incorporating timeless pieces into my styling, as they provide versatility and form the foundation of any wardrobe. At the same time, I have a passion for standout items that tell a story and add a unique flair to each look.
When it comes to trends, I appreciate the creativity behind each one, but I understand that not every trend suits everyone. That’s what makes fashion so compelling—it’s a personal narrative unique to each individual. My ultimate goal is to empower clients to embrace their unique style and feel confident in every outfit they wear.
What has been one of the most rewarding styling experiences in your career so far?
That’s a tough question! While I can’t identify a single standout moment, I genuinely value the chance to give back to my local community. Styling clients for philanthropic events is incredibly rewarding, and I find great fulfillment in donating my services. It’s a wonderful way to support causes that truly make a difference!
How did you first get involved with the Hinsdale Junior Woman’s Club, and what has that experience been like for you?
When we first moved to the area, I received a copy of Hinsdale Living Magazine and was captivated by the photos of all the incredible women featured. I recognized one of them—she’s a client of mine—who had told me I would absolutely love it! She emphasized that not only do you give back to the community, but you also have a great time doing it. As soon as membership opened, I signed up without hesitation!
What excites you most about collaborating on this year’s Benefit Gala?
I’m absolutely thrilled about this year’s theme! The Benefit Team has done an incredible job bringing it to life! I adore everything about glitz, glamour, and Old Hollywood—and who doesn’t love diamonds? I can’t wait for March 8th!

Absolutely! My services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Whether you’re looking for a complete outfit curated through a personalized lookbook or just need help selecting the perfect accessories and shoes, I’m here to assist you! I take great joy in combining new pieces with items you already own, creating a look that truly reflects your personal style. Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Bette Davis, Katharine Hepburn, and Rita Hayworth are all favorites of mine, but Elizabeth Taylor truly stands out. Her stunning jewelry and unforgettable looks were simply to die for! Interestingly, my godmother was related to her, which makes Elizabeth the Old Hollywood icon I aspire to emulate on March 8th!
Are there any modern fashion trends that draw inspiration from the Old Hollywood era? How can someone incorporate that elegance into their everyday wardrobe?
Absolutely! I definitely see Old Hollywood style making a resurgence in modern fashion trends. The concept of “quiet luxury” pays homage to this era with its emphasis on luxurious fabrics, classic accessories, and tailored pieces that exude sophistication and elegance.
My best advice for incorporating Old Hollywood elegance into your everyday wardrobe is to focus on key staple pieces that can be worn season after season. Even if you need to store them away for a while, these timeless items always make a comeback. Begin with classic essentials like a pair of elegant shoes, a tailored coat, or a chic handbag. From there, you can gradually build your collection as you see fit, ensuring your wardrobe remains stylish and versatile.
