Spring is finally here, and it’s time for Caitlin and Danielle to live life in full bloom. When you live in Chicago, you know what a harsh winter is. When the sun emerges, it’s time to celebrate! The Dolls are sharing three things that get their Spring routine in check.
Thank you to our amazing photographer and friend Crystal of @crystalnicolestudios for capturing this magic in Chicago’s Gold Coast.

Practice Self-Care
The first rule of kindness is to be kind to yourself and now is the time to fall in love self- care. After all, YOU are your longest commitment.
In our eyes, every Doll is beautiful, bold and sexy, and if you add some self care you will feel all those ways too. Taking care of our minds and bodies every day will ultimately lead us to become the best version of ourselves. Find a balanced routine that’s tight for you. We recommend visiting the doctor, practicing yoga, treating yourself to a facial, try incorporating celery juice, find a gym that keeps you motivated.
Get Outside
Spring is a time to connect with nature, to get outside, and to enjoy life! One of our everyday magic activities is going for a walk outside. There are countless topics we discuss as we take in the sites, sounds and smells of the city. Yes, smells! Chicago is the city of great food… if you ever need a restaurant recco be sure to check out our list if favorites here.
Another must for the Spring season is to get your festival schedule ready! There are so many opportunities to enjoy life outdoors with a local streetfest, music festivals, and even fitness opportunities.
We’re SO excited to partner with Strength in the City for another year. Events that connect brands and fitness centers with festival goers are the best opportunities to surround yourself with like minded Dolls and Guys, to share an experience that can change your life. Stay tuned for more information on this year’s events. We want to workout with YOU!
Wear Sunscreen
We have worked hard to lead a completely organic lifestyle. While we only put these organic, whole foods in our bodies – we’ve recently considered what we put ON our bodies.
We love immersing ourselves in the warm sunshine, and it’s important to us to protect ourselves from skin cancer, wrinkles and malasma. So suncreen is top on our list! After reports in the media about chemicals in our sunscreen (if they’re bleaching the reefs, what are they doing to our skin?!) we took a hard look at our sunscreen labels. What we found is that most brands are riddled with chemicals… even the ones who claim to be all-natural.
There is ONE brand that stands out to us called Caribbean Sol. The only active ingredient is non-nano zinc oxide… and there are NO other chemicals! The first ingredient on their list is aloe, followed by tons of essential oils that are great for your skin. The cool thing about mineral sunscreen is that it sits on top of your skin and reflects the sun.
With many making the switch to a more naturally based lifestyle, it is no secret that people are looking for safer products for their skin. So why not follow suit with sunscreen? The Caribbean Sol Sunscreen is a great option to not only protect your skin from the hot summer sun, but also protect and save the environment. It is completely biodegradable and oxybenzone free, but don’t let that fool you, this offers impenetrable sun protection with zinc oxide. Zinc oxide physically blocks skin cancer forming rays by actually repelling the suns off your skin. Don’t worry, this isn’t your grandma’s thick, white, zinc oxide sunscreen; this is transparent zinc, which leaves your skin with a strong, yet sheer, shield of protection and effortless hydration. Kourtney Kardashian’s go to app “Think Dirty” (free in the App Store), rates products based on how clean their ingredients are and the Caribbean Sol Sunscreen comes up 100% clean…talk about a no brainer for you and the environment.
