Once in a while, a collaboration comes along that makes staying in the real luxury. There would be pink. There would be bows. And, for once, getting dressed for the occasion would involve accessorizing in the coziest blanket. Lola Blankets x LoveShackFancy is the collaboration of every Doll’s dreams (literally).
The collection launches October 14. Here’s your first look, a guide to choosing your size, and a little something off for the Dolls.

Some collaborations require an explanation. feels fairly self-explanatory around here. You already know my feelings about pink and bows. Usually, I’m wearing them. Now, apparently, so is the couch.
The limited-edition collection launches October 14, with two designs: Rosy Bows, an ivory blanket with pink ribbon-and-bow detailing, and Petal Pink, a soft pink option with a frosted finish.

Both will be available on Lola’s website, where you can use my code ONCEUPONADOLLHOUSE for 35% off.

A little LoveShackFancy for the living room
I haven’t gotten my hands on these particular blankets yet, but the first look has my attention.
The Rosy Bows blanket is the one catching my eye. The pink bows and ribbon pattern feel right at home in the Dollhouse. Draped over a white chair or folded at the end of a bed, it would add that little touch of whimsy I’m always drawn to.
Petal Pink is the quieter option: all the pink, with a simpler look. I can picture it layered with white bedding, tucked into a reading nook, or waiting on the couch for the evening.

A pretty dress needs an occasion. A pretty blanket needs a couch. Refreshingly manageable requirements.
Which Lola blanket size should you choose?
Sizing was one of the questions I received the last time I shared Lola, so let’s talk about what Medium, Large, and XL actually mean.
Medium: 50 × 60 inches
The classic throw size. I’d choose Medium for draping over a favorite chair, keeping across your lap, or having a smaller blanket handy on the couch.
If you primarily want a pretty accent that you can also curl up with, this is a good place to start.
Large: 60 × 72 inches
More room to wrap yourself up, with extra length for stretching out. This would be my pick for everyday couch lounging, especially if you like generous coverage.
Your toes deserve to be included.
XL: 80 × 90 inches
The most generous option for sharing or layering across a bed. I’d lean toward XL if you want plenty of room to get comfortable or plan to use it as a bedroom layer.
If you’re buying it for a bed, measure your mattress first and consider how much drape you want. The coverage will depend on your mattress size and which direction you lay the blanket.
My rule of thumb? Medium for a throw, Large for a proper cocoon, XL for maximum blanket real estate.
A very pretty gift idea
These also have lovely gift potential: the friend who loves a feminine home, the sister who is always cold, or the hostess whose guest room you’d happily move into.
If you’re getting a head start on holiday shopping, a blanket is an easy gift to imagine someone actually using. No dress size to guess. No elaborate occasion required. Just choose the design and dimensions that suit them.
And if the recipient happens to be you, I respect the efficiency.
