There’s something extra special about watching your child grow into something they love—and for our son Teddy, that something has always been golf. Not that it’s been influenced in any way (wink)… but he’s been swinging clubs since before he could even walk. I went from #GolfWife to #GolfMom quicker than I ever imagined, and couldn’t be happier about our family’s favorite activity.
Whether it’s a sunshine-filled evening playing five holes together or chatting about our best shots over dinner, golf has brought so many lessons into Teddy’s little world—patience, respect, and above all, joy. Z, an avid golfer himself, is the best caddie, teacher and role model for our future pro. Watching them play together makes my heart combust.
This year, Teddy is turning 4—FORE!—and we’re celebrating with a small, golf-themed birthday bash over Easter weekend.
The Birthday Lineup:
To keep things cozy and meaningful, we’re keeping the party small with just a few close friends. The backyard will be transformed into a mini driving range, where Coach Dada (aka Z!) will lead the kids in fun golf games tailored for little hands.
Inside, we’re teeing up a cute little craft at the Doll Pro Shop. I ordered plain white visors on Amazon and stocked up on fun patches like smiley faces, dinosaurs, lightning bolts, and golf icons so each kid can create their very own custom look.

Beyond the cuteness of toddler-sized clubs, golf has become such a grounding part of our lives. There’s just something about walking the course hand-in-hand and watching him learn to love the game that makes it all feel so magical.
