It’s Electric

June 29, 2017

Once upon a music festival, the Dolls danced their way from stage to stage spreading their sparkle along the way. Caitlin and Danielle have frolicked through Electric Forest Music Festival for years. This year was different from the rest. This year was very special for the Dolls. Caitlin and Danielle participated in the  interworkings of the fest with the Electricology team to give back to a place that has allowed them to kick their Alcala boots up and enjoy life off the grid.

Any place the Dolls can call a dance floor makes them feel alive, and this magical forest is one giant dance floor like no other. Every which way you turn you are surrounded by pure magic and freedom. Art installations designed to free your mind, beautiful people from all walks of life and an overwhelming feeling of love illuminating from every performance.

… And into the forest we go, to lose our minds & find our souls. “

The Electricology team‘s mission is to provide festival goers with an eco-friendly experience. The Electricology team has a strong mantra of “Leave No Trace” in the forest no trace of trash, waste or any negative vibes. The Electric Forest Culture speaks true to a message of reuse, conserve, and cooperate which is part of the fabric of this festival, evident in reincarnated art, eco-motivated prizing and loyal community partnerships.

The Electricology team took it above and beyond for 2017, rising to the challenge to make sure all festival-goers have everything they need to be a sustainable and active member of the Forest Family. This is the first year the festival will run two weekends with around 40,000 people in attendance each weekend. This means a lot more to clean up, more bags for recycling and more EcoZones in both General Admissions and Good Life Campgrounds. The Electricology team also increased service crew and members circulating site wide to keep it clean and reach our sustainability goals.

Due to the increased number of service crew and members of the Electricology team circulating the site to keep it clean, Electricology was able to achieve an amazing sustainability goal of “flipping” the forest for weekend two in 48 hours.

Tickets are still available for weekend two June 29 – July 2nd, make sure if you’re lucky enough to experience Electric Forest this upcoming weekend you stop by the Electricology booth and ask how you can get involved in keeping the forest beautiful.

About

Once upon a time... there were two best friends that lived in a Dollhouse. That's where the story began. While the pages of this digital storybook keep turning, one thing remains the same. Caitlin and Dani are by each other's side through the ups, downs and all the realness in between.
