Every year, the Dolls make resolutions and promises to themselves and each other, and 2019 is no different. Caitlin and Danielle decided to start making more small goals rooted in self love and self care, because It’s important to set realistic goals for yourself.
2019 is the year of kindness, be kind to your loved ones, be kind to those around you but most importantly start with yourself! What if day to day we stopped pressuring ourselves to work harder and live better and just started to accept what is going on in our lives? What if everyday we started to focus on the immediate situations and choices within our control?
There are little adjustments you can make to feel a big impact, wake up everyday an hour earlier, if only to lay in bed and get excited for the adventure a new day brings. Sometimes, just take a break, all the work will be there when you return. Even if you take a stroll down a busy sidewalk, just get outside and feel the energy for a moment. Cut the television time and start adding guided meditations into your evenings, you can look up free ones on youtube or stream some on Spotify.
There are also big adjustments you can make to feel a big impact. Regular check-ups at your doctor, working out, doing yoga, positive self talk, getting your teeth cleaned every 6 months and making sure you’re taking care of the window to your soul, your eyes.
While it takes some time for most parts of your body to warm up to their full potential, your eyes are on their A game 24/7. Our eyes are always there for us, so let’s start being kind to them. It feels like we are always starting at a screen… Computers, phone or TV. This can really cause some eye strain and disruption to sleep patters, we’ve got to start protecting our eyes.
Luckily, there is a lens technology that we are giving a try and that’s Blue Blocking Lenses. We linked up with Zyloware, a stylish glasses company which you can find at Walgreens or online. We are having a Doll-tastic time trying different frame styles while protecting our eyes.
Blue Blocking Lenses, filter out harmful blue lights from our devices that have been known to cause wakefulness and digital eyestrain. Dani Doll wears a prescription in her glasses, so she added blue blocking on top of her script. Cait Doll doesn’t wear prescription glasses, so hers are just for eye protecting purposes.
You can find the Dolls with their computers in hand working from Co-Optim or sometimes we like to try new places. So, we packed up our Zyloware frames and headed to a new local hot spot to dial in for the day. Astor Hall at the 900 Shops, this upscale dining experience is located on the 5th & 6th floors of 900 N. Michigan Ave. And offers a unique array of restaurants. There is something for everyone…
Cait and Dani are looking forwarded to all the joy that 2019 is going to bring. We plan to enter this new year a little kinder and our eyes a little brighter. Would you try blue blocking glasses? Tell us in the comments!

The first time I hear about blue blocking glasses, but I’d love to try them. Since I spend 10 hours a day in front of the monitor, it would probably be a real vacation for my eyes.

My husband works on a computer screen at least 8 hours a day and I would love for him to try the Blue Blocking Lenses. I will have to share this with him, I really think this will help lessen the strain on his eyes.
