One of the first things to do when you get engaged, is register for every kitchen appliance, dish, wine glass, and special little do-dads that make married life extra special. Whether you’re the princess of your pantry or a bit less unorganized, every Doll could use a fall refresh – especially new brides. That’s where Melissa, from Organized Chicago steps in.
Registering for gifts is such a surreal experience – you’re shopping for the items that will create your dream home with your dreamy husband. There are new, modern ways to register that make keeping organized fun – we recommend Zola because you can register from anywhere and keep it all in one place! They even make writing your thank you cards a breeze.
Your first shower will be filled with love and you’ll cherish these items forever. Earn $50 towards your Zola registry when you sign up with this link.
One thing that no one tells you about the bridal whirlwind, is that your gifts will steadily arrive from the time of your first shower til after the wedding day. That means at any point in time you could have 12 glamorous red wine glasses, one dazzling tea kettle, four dinner plates and a sparkling vase. Caitlin’s mother was gracious enough to store everything until she had a complete set. If that’s not an option for you, we recommend getting a storage place.

Melissa is the Interior Designer and Professional Organizer who started this company. Her mission is to provide clients with a space that is both functional and a reflection of their own style, passions and lifestyle. Cait Doll loves to bake and to entertain, so Melissa made sure that those elements were easily accessible in the kitchen – because according to Organize Chicago, your home should be your oasis. That means creating a beautiful and functional space for you to live and grow.

The first thing we did with Melissa was to take EVERYTHING out of the cabinets. Out with the old, in with the new! We picked which items to donate and which to put in storage. From there, Melissa worked her magic and found a special organized place for each and every item. No cabinet, no drawer was left unturned… until the kitchen sparkled with OCD glory.
