Goddesses, times are definitely a-changing. This is especially true when it comes to the auto-industry. While the old school thought may have been that buying a car was a man’s job, the fact is that today, women account for or influence the purchase of 85% of cars. Caitlin and Danielle visited the Chicago Auto Show with A Girl’s Guide to Cars to take a look under the hood.
What was once a “man’s world” is now a place for Dolls everywhere to become experts, and spend their hard-earned dollhairs. There’s no better place to flex those auto-genius muscles than at the Chicago Auto-Show at McCormick Place in Chicago. The show will be open from February 10th-19th, featuring a special Women’s Day on February 13th with discounted tickets for Goddesses, as well as informational sessions to help us gain an even better understand of all things auto.
We had the pleasure of attending the Auto Show a few days early, and OMG. Even though the cars are only for exhibition, these Dolls couldn’t help but imagine speeding off in almost every single one.
There was a big similarity in all the cars we were most drawn to. The cars all Dolls want must encompass the qualities of a best friend – beautiful inside and out, reliable and strong. No agency is more dedicated to strength and reliability than the steel industry.
The industry is putting in work to show the world the value of steel, especially when it comes to cars. With advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) manufactured by the North American steel industry, the highest value material is undeniably steel.
All Goddesses like a little variety in their life, and so does the auto-industry. With so many different grades of steel, including AHSS, a certain type used on a certain part of the car means the perfect vehicle can be created.
Convenience is key, and the convenience of steel as a material in the manufacturing process of cars is huge. Manufacturers don’t have to change their infrastructure when using steel versus another material, like aluminum.
Dolls want a car that feels as good as it looks. Because steel has the lowest production phase greenhouse gas emissions compared to other materials, we can make an environmentally conscience decision while not skimping on style.
As girl bosses on the go, new self-driving cars are all too appealing. To be able to get last minute work and emails done while on the way to the next meeting is the dream for most Dolls. No matter how safe the technology of self-driving cars is, accidents still are a potential. But AHSS is making the technology of self-driving cars possible, while still ensuring passengers are safe.
With all of AHSS’ benefits, the steel industry’s mission to create top performing, high value and sustainable vehicles is one Goddesses can get behind. To see their work in action, the Chicago Auto-Show is the place to be. Envision yourself jetting off with your girl gang on a cross-country road trip, or zooming through the city on the way to run your next board meeting. Thanks to AHSS you’ll be doing both in strength and style, as you do everything.
