It brings Caitlin and Danielle great joy to show their friends how much they are loved and appreciated with an invite to their Second Annual Friendsgiving Dinner Celebration. Follow their lead for some Doll direction on how to set up and host the perfect Friendsgiving.
Friendsgiving is a fun and unique way to bring your tribe together before the actual Thanksgiving Holiday. When you’re throwing a friend fête, remember… “There are no rules!” Invite your nearest and dearest and have fun with every party element.
Dollhouse Décor:
We decided to incorporate some new furniture in our Dollhouse to accommodate seating for all of our lovely guests. Spectacular furniture pieces help create the ideal setting for Friendsgiving – warm, cozy and inviting during the holiday season. We decided to indulge in a Dollhouse décor piece this year – a new dining room table from The RoomPlace.
We were greeted and taken care of by a friendly and professional staff who helped us pick a spectacular item to wow our guests. The Platinum Dining Table Set is SO stylish and exceptionally priced.
Doll Tip: When you’re shopping for signature pieces for your home, look for furniture that has personality to complement its beauty.
When we sat down and put together a guest list – it grew and grew. What’s a Doll to do? We headed back to The RoomPlace and grabbed a few more items for the memory making. Some stylish barstools for overflow seating and a beautiful bar cart for all their lovely adult beverages.
Flowers are like friends, they bring color to your world. Fresh flowers are essential to hosting a lovely dinner party. The Dollhouse go-to flower shop, Morgan’s in Bloom always delivers fresh, beautiful and colorful centerpieces.
Pretty is in the presentation. Start with fresh colorful blooms to set the scene. We love the autumnal palette and the pop of life that fresh flowers bring to the table. Use varying heights on your tablescape with candlesticks, vases, and festive accessories to create depth. You can even get creative and trail flowers throughout the food display to create blissful vibe.
Doll Drinks:
A signature drink and sparkly bottles of champagne make for a successful party at the Dollhouse. We love to greet our guests with some festive options that help set the mood.
The Dolls adore a nice gin cocktail, a fine Cadillac and an occasional cigar. Boodles is the first-ever mulberry gin in America and makes the perfect signature drink for any holiday event. We learned after last year’s festivities that even two Dolls need some help with all the preparation and cooking of a traditional Friendsgiving Dinner. Naturally, we are in LOVE with our friends over at Fresh Thyme who cut our food prep time down by 12 hours and saved us about one-hundred-dollhairs. Fresh Thyme offers healthy, hearty and helpful options for all Turkey Dinners. You can order the whole dinner for about sixty-dollhairs. If you are fabulous at cooking your own turkey and only need sides, they’ve got you covered as well; thirty-dollhairs will get you all the traditional sides. We’re going to pork ya! This is the part where we have fun serving what we want… What started as a small meat packing company over sixty years ago has easily become one of the leaders in the pork industry – Smithfield! The Doll Menu featured delicious pork loins (you can pick up a variety of pre-marinated options at Fresh Thyme), Orchard Peach Spiral Sliced Ham, and the Dollhouse signature bacon basket weave turkey topper!
Everybody loves an Italian girl (and a girl that speaks Italian)…. and more importantly Italian Food. This is an exciting year for Maggiano’s in Chicago and around the US – the original location on Clark and Grand celebrated 25 years just last week. We kept the celebration going by adding some delightful eats from the Italian Stallion of restaurants to FriendsGiving. Wildcard Friendsgiving items included classic pasta and meatballs, chicken marsala, chopped salad and delicious desserts were some of our Friendsgiving Favorites. Looks like you had a very full house! I’ve never done a friendsgiving, but I sure would love to! I’ll have to plan one for next year because there’s no time in our busy week that’s coming up. It would be such a great way to celebrate the love we all have for each other.
We did have a full Dollhouse – it was so fun to have everyone over and enjoying a fun twist on this classic holiday.
Friendsgiving is always so fun! We didn’t have one this year, but that’s only because we’re planning on doing a Christmas dinner party instead!
